SCOPE To develop and maintain harmonized standards for electrical boxes and their components for use in the Americas, that are consistent with safe installations of these products, and in accordance with the applicable installation codes; To harmonize these requirements with the IEC 60670 series of standards to the maximum extent practical; To propose appropriate changes to the national installation codes to facilitate harmonization objectives; To provide technical assistance toward effective implementation of these standards.
