CANENA Sponsors IEC General Meeting

CANENA sponsored the IEC 2022 General Meeting in San Francisco last month, attracting more than 2,400 representatives from National Committees originating from all over the world (https://gm2022.iec.ch/sponsors/). In addition to the official recognition on banners and web page (https://gm2022.iec.ch/), CANENA was an invited guest to the IEC General Assembly and the Standards Management Committee.

Through-out the different meetings and social gathering events, the CANENA President Guy Benjamin welcomed the opportunity to meet with National Committees representatives from different countries (ex.: Canada, USA, Mexico and abroad). With the help of Mexico member-at-large (Mr. R. Nava), brief discussions with representatives from Columbia, Peru, Brazil were organized (see picture below). CANENA’s role was showcased along with the ties that exist with National Committees which could benefit standards harmonization in the Americas. The message was well received and CANENA is looking forward to future exchanges.
